The Story of The Face tracks the exciting highs and calamitous lows of the life of the magazine in two parts. Part one focuses on the rise of the magazine in the 1980s, highlighting its striking visual identity—embodied by Neville Brody’s era-defining graphic designs, Nick Knight’s dramatic fashion photography, and the “Buffalo” styling of Ray Petr— and its unflinching approach to journalism. Contributors included a host of writers who subsequently made their impact in the wider world, from Julie Burchill, Robert Elms, Tony Parsons, and James Truman to Jon Savage, Richard Benson, and Sheryl Garratt.

Part two shows how in the 1990s, after surviving a disastrous Jason Donovan libel suit, the magazine heralded the post-acid house era of Britpop and Brit Art. However, after the magazine had become the engine of the booming British magazine industry, the end of this decade also saw the eventual demise of The Face. Including an introduction by Dylan Jones, The Story of The Face is an engaging behind-the-scenes look at the rise and fall of one of the 80s and 90s’ most influential music and style publications.

The Street is Watching is a street photography anthology that brings together the most representative and iconic shots, ranging from the 70s to today. Through the lenses of Anton Perich, Brandon Stuart, Charles Emir Richards, Marcia Resnick, Estevan Griol, Jason Lee Muriel, Ricky Adam and Jacob Fuglsang Mikkelsen, the aim of The Street is Watching is to show the evolution of urban photography, from the beginnings to nowadays and to identify its stylistic and conceptual roots. STORM has the pleasure to exhibit a selection of the photos from the book in connection to the Copenhagen Photo Festival 2014. Opening June 12, 7pm

Menswear fashion influencer Nick Wooster has joined forces with Swedish clothing brand The White Briefs in partnership with The Woolmark Company to create a 100% Merino wool capsule collection. The collection is based around a subtle color palette of black, dark grey and navy blue. The clean aesthetic of the collection combined with fine Australian Merino wool — the world’s softest wool fibers — gives an overall simplistic yet luxurious look and feel to every piece.

When one of the most influential names in fashion, Raf Simons, teams up with one of the biggest bands on the music scene right now, you'd expect the result to be no less than breathtaking. The video is shot by photographer Alasdair McLellan and styled by Another Man's Ellie Grace Cumming, the sun-drenched visuals present a moody, minimalist teenage dream.

In the video, Millie convinces her older model sister to take her out on a day of playing hooky with her model boyfriend. The group of well-dressed teens visit a supposedly haunted LA mansion where the xx are playing by the pool.

The London perfumer introduces his latest fragrance - Against Nature

Inspired by disruptive minds, for the freethinkers:

Timothy Han constantly reimagines as perfumes iconic literary works, written by some of this world's greatest thinkers, striving to challenge conventions and status quo.

This time, Against Nature is inspired by Joris-Karl Huysmans’ 1884 novel of the same name (or, À Rebours) which marks a break from his previous naturalist roots. The novels theme of decadence and fallaciousness are explored through the perfume, altering perceptions of what is real: a blur between the natural and the artificial, ultimately echoing an alternate beauty.

For this purpose, the unisex scent then uses a mixture of natural and artificially fragranced oils resonating the struggle between imitation and reality.

TAKE ME TO THE PERFUME

For Against Nature, Timothy Han has collaborated with New York artist Rafael Melendez to create a series of illustrations which have then been digitally manipulated to reflect the protagonist’s fascination with recreating the natural as artificial.

Now Timothy Han is launching the first edition of his third fragrance entitled "The Decay of the Angel" - a unisex fragrance. A rich and exotic burnt floral fragrance with a subtle headiness that comes from desire infused by flowers on the wane. Inpired by Yukio Mishima's 1971 novel of the same name, these are the final longings of a descending angel.

Timothy Han, the creative director behind TH/E, explains:

"This is a take on a rose floral that will divide opinion. By introducing dark undertones of sex and ash to what is often seen as a traditional and safe scent, we are creating a perfume for the outspoken.”

The perfumes are handcrafted and comes in small production runs, assigning each batch an edition number: which makes the perfumes limited. Botanical ingredients vary from year to year due to seasonal influences such as temperature or rainfall. These small variations can alter the fragrance materials. The brand choose to celebrate these variations by allowing customers to easily identify which batch their bottle of perfume came from via an edition number prominently displayed on the box.
